Online Therapy

Not everyone has the opportunity or the time to come into our office, that’s okay! We are here for you from the convenience of your screen.

What is online therapy?

Teletherapy, also known as online therapy, e-therapy, e-counseling, or cyber-counseling, involves providing mental health services and support over the internet. Services can be offered through video conferencing or phone.

Teletherapy occurs in real-time, just like traditional therapy, but can be done from the comfort of your home/ office / or even your car which can save time on the commute and also help you access providers who are located in a different part of the state.

At Hello Mental Health we are able to treat clients throughout the entire state of Ohio, and many of our clinicians can also treat clients living in PsyPact Participating states.

If interested in teletherapy, check out this guide for creating a confidential space and getting set up for your first session.

Benefits of Teletherapy

Below are just a few reasons why teletherapy has become a first-choice for so many:

  • Accessibility: There can be many physical barriers to getting to therapy. For example, maybe you live in a remote area. Or you don't have access to adequate transportation, meaning you have to rely on friends and family to get around. Thanks to technology, you can benefit from therapy regardless of mobility issues.

  • Convenience: E-therapy makes it possible for you to schedule sessions that fit your life. You can schedule them around your work schedule and family obligations.

  • Privacy: Worried about bumping into your co-worker at a therapist's office? With teletherapy, you can enjoy complete privacy. You can schedule your sessions for when you're home alone.

  • Cognitive Behavior Therapy

The science of changing troublesome thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. CBT places an emphasis on helping individuals develop coping skills, whereby they can learn to change their own thinking, problematic emotions, and behavior.

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy

Mindfulness based therapy focused on increasing psychological flexibility through six core ACT processes including acceptance, the opposite of experiential avoidance; cognitive defusion, in which negative thoughts are observed mindfully instead of avoided or reasoned away; chosen values; and committed action.

  • Mindfulness Training

Mindfulness is the human ability to be fully present, aware of where we are and what we’re doing, and not overly reactive or overwhelmed by what’s going on around us. Mindfulness helps us put some space between ourselves and our reactions, breaking down our conditioned responses.

  • Cognitive Processing Therapy

  • Exposure and Response Prevention
